When we were looking for a place for our autumn vacation we were close to giving up the hope to find a place meeting our ideas! The description of Borgo Tranquillo on the web was already exciting but what we found exceeded all our expectations. It’s not only the way you built this place with creativity and a fine sense of harmony. It’s the way you take care of your guests htat turn this into a little paradise. If someone ever wants to know what the real ‘all inclusive’ looks like, Borgo Tranquillo is where he can find it. Many thanks for a wonderful week.

A wonderful place to be!

A wonderful week

Traumhaft

The one and only

Lange haben wir uns dagegen gesträubt, eine Bewertung für’s Borgo Tranquillo auf Tripadvisor abzugeben. Dieser Ort und insbesondere die Gastgeber Ariane, Frank und Tintin sind uns zu sehr ans Herz gewachsen, als dass wir eine aufgrund der konstant hohen Auslastung abschlägige Reservationsanfrage einfach wegstecken könnten. 

Wir fragen uns nach unserem dritten Aufenthalt im Borgo mittlerweile tatsächlich, ob es überhaupt etwas Vergleichbares gibt. Wahrscheinlich nicht, deshalb: the one and only! Zum Glück: Unseren nächsten Aufenthalt haben wir bereits gebucht!

Rundum Fantastisch

Unser Urlaub liegt nun schon einige Zeit zurück, aber wir denken immer noch oft an unsere schönen Tage im Borgo Tranquillo. Es war rundum fantastisch, angefangen beim herzlichen Sektempfang durch die Gastgeber, Ariane und Frank, über die absolut stilvolle Ferienwohnung, bis zum phenomenalen Pool mit herrlichem Blick in die Weite der Marken. Es gibt nichts was von den Gastgebern nicht perfekt geplant, arrangiert und organisiert wäre. Manchmal sind es nur “Kleinigkeiten” die einem aber eine echte Freude bereiten, wie z.B. das Offerieren von Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten, oder das großzügige Angebot von Kaffee und kalten Getränken im Poolhaus. Es ist wirklich einzigartig, und wie manche Vorgänger schon geschrieben haben, gibt es sicherlich nichts Vergleichbares.
Man möchte sofort wieder buchen und alle Urlaube dort verbringen.

Ein Traum

Das Borgo Tranquillo ist ein wahrer Traum. 
Die Unterkunft ist mit viel Liebe und Stil eingerichtet, so dass man sich wie ” zu Hause” fühlt und es fehlt einem an nichts. Die Umgebung ist wahrhaftig ein Traum, der einem zum verweilen, entspannen und träumen einläd. Man hat seine Privatsphäre, dadurch dass es sehr grosszügig ist.
 Wir haben unsere ersten Familienferien mit Baby und Hund in vollen Zügen genossen.
 Ariane und Frank sind sehr herzliche und nette Gastgeber, welche dem Borgo den familiären und wunderbaren Touch geben. Und natürlich auch Tintin hat dazu beigetragen.
 Wir werden ganz bestimmt wieder kommen.

Entspannung Pur in wunderschöner Umgebung

Absolutes Wohlfühlen, Geniessen und Entspannung pur von Tag 1 des Urlaubs – was kann man sich mehr wünschen! Nicht nur die wunderschöne und reizvolle Landschaft der Marken, vor allem auch das traumhafte Ambiete des Anwesens und die äußerst herzliche Gastfreundschaft der Inhaber haben unseren Urlaub zu einem absoluten Highlight gemacht. Wer sich in einem sehr geschmackvoll gestalteten italienischen Landgut abseits üblicher Touristentrubel entspannen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Sollte einem die Ruhe und Idylle einmal zuviel sein, dem bieten sich zahlreiche interessante und historische Ausflüge in naher Umgebung an (u.a. Perugia, Assisi, Loreto, Urbino). Und auch die Kleinen kommen bei traumhaftem Infinity-Pool und weitläufigem Gelände, welches zu spannenden Erkundigungen einlädt, voll auf ihre Kosten. 
Fazit: Alle Erwartungen wurden mehr als erfüllt und für das kommende Jahr direkt gebucht – die Vorfreude auf den nächsten Aufenthalt hat somit bereits mit der Abfahrt begonnen.

Una vacanza di relax ideale

Borgo tranquillo offre pace e tranquillità alla sommità di una collina marchigiana con una vista mozzafiato a 360°.
Una fantastica piscina aperta 24 ore su 24,un centro benessere,ampio salone con biblioteca, camino, sauna, bagno turco.
L’appartamento molto grande e arredato in stile moderno è ben equipaggiato in cucina per la preparazione di cenette e aperitivi.
Con un massimo di 12 ospiti (e noi unici e in assoluto seconda coppia italiana mai ospitata) il relax e’ garantito e un po’ ci e’ sembrato di essere all’estero.
I proprietari Frank e Ariane sono cordialissimi,ci hanno accolto con un bicchiere di vino e con una bottiglia gia’ fresca in frigor!!!!
Ogni giorno lasciavano torte o verdure fresche appena colte dal loro orto per gli ospiti!!!Due persone adorabili come il loro bellissimo cane TinTin.
Anche il nostro cane(Maya)ha gradito scorrazzare liberamente ogni giorno per quella fantastica collina!!!
Insomma una vacanza di totale relax in cui ci siamo sentiti come a casa e coccolati dal paesaggio meraviglioso.Veramente un posto da sogno!!! Enrico & Giorgia, Forlì, Agosto 2012

Time

Time works differently at the Borgo… when you’re here time seems to stand still, when it’s time to leave it seems to have raced by and while you wiat for the next visti, time can’t seem to speed-up enough! Piece of Haven

Our stays at Borgo Tranquillo have been like small delightful “pockets of tranquility”. Let’s put it this way: the summer is just not the same without…..
Even our children (4 and 6 yrs) feel there are no perfect summer without our annual week in paradise Next summer we will return for our fourth time. 

The photos gives the impression of a design resort placed in the most perfect, spectacular surroundings. It is just that LIVE it feels a thousand times better….. 

The design of the resort, the size of apartments and house, are perfect, and you can either relax and chill or do a run on a charming path around the large, green area. The infinity pool, pool house and surroundings areas are friendly both for young and old, and it is easy to friend up with your neighbor. There are ALWAYS a vacant nice sunbed, Fatboy or/and umbrella waiting. The charm is that only 6 couples/families can stay at once. Luxury!

Well worth to mention is also the steam room/hammam in the pool house, always accessible. You have the feeling of being truly privileged when at Borgo Tranquillo.

This part of Italy (too) feels like an “unexplored gem”. A lot to offer, and we can highly recommend both excursions to the caves and nearby cities, all with great historical interest. The nearby restaurants are well worth a visit too. With the informative welcome-book you can read small reviews before exploring the area. 

But what really keep us coming back year after year, are Ariane and Frank and their unbelievable generosity and hospitality. They are the most loving and devoted hosts you can ever dream of. They manage their role perfectly, without being too involved. They balance this fine line extremely well! 

You are always greeted with a smile – and if you miss anything (hardly, as everything is already thought of way before your arrival), they both help out! With a smile. ALWAYS! 
Arianes home baked cakes suddenly appearing in the pool house – or the freshly picked tomatoes & grenes – are examples of small surprises awaiting during the stay!

The new family member, the one and only Tintin – their gorgeous dog– is greatly missed. Our two little ones can almost not wait for next summer`s cuddling.

“Dolce far niente”

You made a special place of Borgo Tranquillo. Everything seems to be in balance here. The warm welcome, the hospitality the splendid region and marvelous views the pool and the club house (wow!!!) the fantastic design of the apartments and the gardens the functionality of the rooms – we loved the bathroom, the ipod cable … etc etc ….. and the Nespresso machine. Wunderschön bis ins letzte Detail

Alles im Borgo Tranquillo, die Wohnungen (jede individuell gestaltet), das Clubhaus, der Pool, der Garten, entzücken das Auge. Jedes Detail, von den Möbeln, über das Geschirr bis hin zur Bettwäsche sind von bester Qualität und liebevoll ausgesucht. Die Lage des Borgos ist von Atem beraubender Schönheit. Trotz anderer Gäste hat man viel Rückzugsmöglichkeiten, es ist nie laut, also wer sich dort nicht erholt und regeniert tut es nirgendwo! Wir können unseren Gastgebern nur ein dickes Dankeschön sagen, wir haben uns 2 Wochen nur wohlgefühlt und werden gerne wiederkommen.

La Dolce Vita

We are reluctant to write a good review as we really don’t want too many people to discover this beautiful villa positioned in such a stunning setting!
Over the years we have holidayed in most of the usual tourist locations in Italy, usually in small boutique hotels. This time we fancied something different and our initial apprehension melted away as we were greeted by Frank and Ariane with a chilled bottle of prosecco. We stayed in the villa and were delighted to find the homemade jams, olive oil and balsamic vinegar etc.. The clubhouse and its courtesy bar was a lovely touch and in all aspects they really have thought of everything.
We are missing tintin (their gorgeous dog), the beautiful countryside, wines and restaurants and have already booked to return next summer.

Himmlische Ruhe und entspannte Atmosphäre

Noch nie haben wir uns vom ersten Augenblick an so “zuhause” gefühlt. Himmlische Ruhe, tolles Interior Design, geschmackvolle Anlage, die sich perfekt in die Natur einfügt. Nichts für Leute, die Nachtleben in unmittelbarer Nähe suchen, man braucht ein Auto und nachts tanzen im Borgo nur Hunderte Glühwürmchen.

Eine zu Kurze Woche

Kaum hier angekommen, war es für uns klar, dass eine Woche hier viel zu Kurz sein wird.
Die Anlage – Gebäude und Interior, Garten – wurde mit so viel Fingerspitzengefühl im Detail und ´British Understatement´ angelegt, nichts drängt sich auf, alles geschied quasi beiläufig – Complimenti! Dank für die vielen Aufmerksamkeiten, beginnend mit der Begrüssungsnachrict am tor, der Marmelade ´fatto da manoß dem guten Olivenöl und den Kirschen und dem Zitronenkuchen am Nachmittag.

Urlaub in wunderschöner Atmosphäre

Im Juni waren wir zum dritten Mal in der Villa des Borgo Tranquillo. Mit den zwei schönen Schlafzimmern und zwei Bädern eignet sich die Villa für einen Urlaub mit Freunden. Auch alle anderen Räume, der Garten und das Clubhaus mit Pool, Sauna und Bar lassen keine Wünsche offen.Hier kann man Urlaub machen in gepflegter, ruhiger und durchgestylter Atmosphäre. Das hat man den wunderbaren Gastgebern Ariane und Frank und Tin Tin zu verdanken. Wir planen wieder einen Urlaub im Borgo für nächstes Jahr. Nicht nur das Anwesen, sondern auch die Umgebung kann man in vollen Zügen genießen, wenn man Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit mag.

Großzügig, elegant, einfach schön

Großzügigkeit prägt diesen traumhaften Ort – seien es die Wohnungen mit wunderschön durchdachter & gewählter Einrichtung, seien es Clubhouse & Bar, all die unglaublich aufmerksamen Details oder die Gastfreundlichkeit von Ariane & Andrew…
Lange suchten wir nach solch einem Ort – gebucht haben wir sofort wieder fürs nächste Jahr.
(sehr ungewöhnlich übrigens für Italien: Auch bei schlechtem Wetter kann man es sich perfekt gemütlich machen: Kaminfeuer, funktionierende Heizung, DVD-thek, Bücher…)

Che posto bellissimo!
Casale immerso nelle colline di Arcevia, ristrutturato in stile classico per l’esterno e in stile moderno e funzionalissimo all’interno.

L’ideale per una vacanza dedicata al relax assoluto e all’eno-gastronomia (Arcevia è nella zona dei Castelli di Jesi e di tanti buoni ed eccellenti ristoranti).

Quando è Spiovuto, e la piscina era off-limits, ci siamo dedicati a sauna, bagno turco o a una dormita davanti al caminetto!

Ein kleines Paradies auf Erden

Ueber Neujahr habe ich mitten in Italien einen wunderschönen Ort kennengelernt: Borgo Tranquillo. Einige Kilometer von Arcevia entfernt, befindet sich in einer wunderschönen Landschaft ein kleines Paradies auf Erden. Schon vor dem Eingangstor wurde mir bewusst, dass dieser Ort von zwei Menschen gestaltet wurde, die sich mit Harmonie, mit der Qualität des Lebens und der Schönheit der Dinge auseinandersetzen. Die Gebäude, die Einrichtung der Gästewohnungen, der Pool, der Hamam, die Sauna, die Umgebung darumherum – alles wurde in Übereinstimmung mit der Natur, sehr überlegt und mit viel Geschmack gestaltet und eingerichtet.
Zusätzlich konnte ich von der aussergewöhnlichen Gastfreundschaft und Herzlichkeit der beiden Besitzer profitieren.
Obwohl ich nur wenige Tage dort verweilen konnte, habe ich auch die Umgebung ein wenig kennen gelernt. Beim Apero in Arcevia erfuhr ich die Einheimischen als äusserst liebenswürdig und umgänglich und in Senigallia konnte ich trotz der Wintersaison sogar die nackten Füsse ins Meerwasser tauchen!

Design und Ruhe

Wir durften schon zum 3, Mal das Borgo und die Gastfreundschaft des Borgo´s geniessen. Einfach ein Traum, was Ariane & Frank hier erbaut haben. Die Ruhe, die traumhafte Umgebung und vorallem das Design – einfach GENIAL.
 Vielen Dank nochmals für alles. Wir kommen wieder und wir freuen mich schon jetzt auf den nächsten Urlaub in einer dieser wundervollen Wohnungen.

Borgo Tranquillo

Wir, zwei Erwachsene, zwei Kinder, haben im Herbst 2011 eine Woche in der Villa gewohnt. Wir wurden noch nie so freundlich von den Gastgebern einer FeWo empfangen. Für Architektur -Interessierte ist die Villa und die gesamte Anlage ein Traum. Wo sonst kann man in der Küche einer FeWo auf Saarinen-Stühlen oder im Wohnzimmer auf Florence Knoll Sofas sitzen. Die Kinder (10 und 8 Jahre alt) haben es genossen, den Infinity Pool für sich alleine zu haben. Ariane und Frank sind da, wenn man etwas wissen möchte, drängen sich aber nicht auf. Zum Entspannen ist die Anlage perfekt. Mitte Oktober war der nächste Ort, Arcevia, leider etwas verschlafen. An die Küste, In die Toskana fährt man relativ lange.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren, Borgo Tranquillo ist in der Wirklichkeit noch schöner als es schon auf den Fotos aussieht!

Sehr Cool

Wir hatten Ende September zu Zweit ein Appartement gebucht und es war sehr cool.
 Wer Ruhe sucht und auf eine gut gestaltete Umgebung Wert legt ist hier absolut richtig.
 Es ist dort alles genauso wie auf den Bildern (was ja meistens nicht der Fall ist). 
Schöne Landschaft, nette Dörfer und freundliche Menschen.
 Was will man mehr. Da braucht keiner mehr die Toskana.
 Wir werden bestimmt noch einmal dort Urlaub machen.

Wahnsinn!

Wir waren Ende August für eine Woche im Borgo, haben wir so noch nicht erlebt- ankommen und sich zu Hause fühlen, Wahnsinn! Ihr habt die Anlage und die wohnungen mir sehr viel Liebe gebaut und eingerichtet – man kann dies jades mal spüren, wenn man die vielen Details bemerkt. Ihr strahlt eine solche Herzlichkeit aus, dass wir uns schon in den ersten Minute wie bei Freunden gefühlt haben.

Clubhouse is inspirational

Apart from saying the obvious, ‘ we had a great time’ its difficult to better the comments from previous guests.
The quality of holiday experience is a tribute to you both in terms of design concept and delivery. Managing to create a classic design that’s also comfortable to live in, is a singular achievement. Oasis!

In one way or another, we were taught that an oasis is a round place of life and hope within the desert, full of water and potential. In Le Marche, the oasis is called Borgo Tranquillo, with a square logo, and where visitors have the time of their life. Italian Paradise

After our fifth experience at Borgo Tranquillo, we truly can say that life at BT is relaxing, the architecture/design outstanding, the scenery spectacular, the apartments and villa spacious and well equipped, the pool/lounge area amazing, the fauna surprising (where will you find a fox cub sipping from the stunning infinity swimming pool ……………….) and most of all the hosts exceptional!
All in all a little heaven away from home and therefore the perfect holiday destination!

A Wonderful Stay

Borgo Tranquillo was wonderful. The apartment was clean, modern, and luxurious. The views are amazing and the place had everything we could have needed, and the common areas are cozy and inviting.

Heaven on Earth

We found the ideal place for our family holiday. We stayed 3 weeks in July 2010 and each day was perfect. The owners are wonderful hosts. They helped us with everything we needed. The property was very clean, very well equipped and we did not miss anything. Very comfortable beds, great bathrooms, modern kitchen to cook daily. The pool area is amazing, which was enjoyed by us almost every day.
The villa is set on top of a hill, which allows a stunning view over the hills of the Marche. Great village close by from daily shopping. Local shops for great food, good price and very welcoming people. Beautiful scenery for day trips.
All in all, a place, we would love to go back anytime. We miss it badly.

Simple luxury in rural Italy

Great location, excellent accommodation/ facilities and very welcoming hosts.
We (2 adults, 2 kids aged 12 & 9) all had a really good time and will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended.
The villa is spacious, bright and very comfortable, simply, but appropriately (and attractively) furnished, with everything you really need on holiday.
The gardens and pool and were where we spent most of our time. The views were great and the excellent pool house had everything we needed. This is a great place to relax.
Frank and Ariane were the icing on the cake. Generous, friendly, never intrusive and always helpful, they were ideal holiday hosts.

Perfect getaway!

We spent a week at this wonderful place in the mountains. The location on the top of the hill is beautiful, and has a fantastic view from the pool area. Which by the way is perfect for small children. The apartments and house that is for rent is beautifully restored, mixing the new and the old. But the most important feature of this place is the atmosphere and the hospitality of the owners. They make sure your stay becomes one to remember.
The area is full of beautiful villages, nice landscape, attractions and the beaches are in driving distance.
I will recommend this to anyone who want a taste of the real Italy, have a relaxing holiday and enjoy good wine. With your partner or with kids.

Erholsame Ferien in den Marken

Wir waren im Juni 2010 das erste mal in den Marken. Die Landschaft und die Freundlichkeit der Menschen hat uns sehr gefallen. Im Gegesatz zur Toscana sind die Straßen sehr wenig befahren und man kann auch im gemäßigten Tempo die Gegend erkunden.
Die erste Woche waren wir im App. 4 untergebracht und sehr zufrieden. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll ausgestattet und der Balkon groß mit einem wundervollen Blick in die Landschaft.
Die zweite Woche konnten wir in der Villa verbringen und waren auch hier von dem individuellen und liebevollen Einrichtungsstil begeistert.
Als besonderes Highlight empfanden wir das Clubhaus mit dem tollen Swimmingpool und der phantastischen Aussicht. Die Möglichkeit sich hier stets nach Belieben mit Eiswürfel, Espresso,Cola oder einem Drink zu bedienen, sollte anderen guten Ferienanlagen als Vorbild dienen.
Wir haben die beiden Wochen sehr genossen.

Bereits zum zweiten Mal verbrachten wir im Borgo Tranquillo unsere Ferien. Und um eines vorweg zu nehmen: Es war nicht das letzte Mal. Wir fühlten uns in der Ferienanlage erneut sehr wohl und sofort “Zuhause”. Die zuvorkommenden, freundlichen Besitzer haben es geschafft eine perfekte Urlaubsatmosphäre zu schaffen: Gäste genießen den Vorteil der Unabhängigkeit in einer bis ins Detail geschmackvoll ausgestatteten Wohnung, können sich verwöhnen lassen im großzügig ausgebauten Wellnessbereich, sich beim Speisen im Freien erfreuen an der phantastischen Aussicht und der gepflegten Gartenanlage, Ausflüge in die ursprünglich gebliebene Umgebung unternehmen. Ein großer Pluspunkt der Anlage ist die Vielseitigkeit der Unternehmungsmöglichkeiten, auf die ein umfangreicher Ordner mit Insiderinfos und Geheimtipps hinweist. Die Anlage ist somit für die unterschiedlichsten “Urlaubstypen” geeignet. Der Gourmet findet sich hier ebenso gerne ein wie der Naturfreund oder der Kulturinteressierte, der sportlich orientierte Urlauber kommt genauso auf seine Kosten wie der Ruhesuchende, selbst zum Shoppen in den vielen Outlets gibt es gute Gelegenheit

The Perfect Hideaway

We spent two weeks in late spring 2010 at Borgo Tranquillo and were absolutely overwhelmed by the beauty of the surrounding landscape, the smart and stylish design of the property and the welcomming and supportive service of the owners, Ariane and Frank.
We were quite unfortunate with the weather and experienced the coldest and raniest May ever, according to the locals. Though we tried to spend time outside whenever the weather conditions would allow this, we had to spend a lot of time at home. What might have been a claustrophobic 2 weeks experience in any regular hotel room actually turned into a extremely relaxing and cosy wellness holiday. The apartments extremely well equipped and we took advatage of the fire place, the professional kitchen and Frank’s huge DVD-library.

We can’t wait to come back next year with better weather to finally use all the facilities like the sensational pool and to explore more of the beautiful Marche. The region is quite a discovery to us and we are still enjoying the red and white wine we brought home from some of the nearby wineries.

A real Gem!

This place is a real gem about which information should better be kept to oneself, but Ariane and Frank deserve a fantastic review. Beautiful apartment – wonderful spot!

We spent a week in Apartment 2 in September. Frank and Ariane made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and the apartment was absolutely stunning, with everything you could need. There are plenty of interesting places to visit within easy travelling distance as well as shopping facilities in Arcevia, but it is just as good to spend some time relaxing… The setting of the Borgo is unbelievable, with spectacular views from every angle. The pool and clubhouse are fantastic, and Frank and Ariane’s dvd collection provided some evening entertainment after dinner and some local wine. We will happily return to the Borgo when we are back in Le Marche and would definitely recommend it!”

Ein Traum in den Marken

Wir haben unseren Sommerurlaub im Borgo Tranquillo verbracht und jede Sekunde davon genossen.
Die Wohnungen sind mit unglaublicher Liebe zum Detail und viel Geschmack eingerichtet. Eine wunderbare Küche, die mit allem was der Koch braucht ausgestattet ist hat uns tolle Abendessen beschert. Das Schlafzimmer hätten wir am liebsten mit nach Hause genommen, einfach traumhaft.
Die Außenanlage besticht durch den phänomenalen Pool, die schöne Gartenanlage und eine Aussicht, die schon fast unwirklich perfekt ist.
Die Herzlichkeit und Großzügigkeit von Ariane und Frank vermittelt einem das Gefühl, bei Freunden angekommen zu sein. Wir können dieses Ferienobjekt an alle weiterempfehlen, die Schönheit, Ruhe und nette Menschen im Urlaub suchen.

Apartment 4 – hill view!

The Borgo is simply fantastic! True Luxury in every detail (e.g. wonderful designed appartments, stylish equipment, great light effects, bar with free drinks and ice, free barbecue equipment, own fresh herbs, free dvd library with 400 movies, free olive oil etc etc). On does not even need to bring a tourist guide – its all there with the actual program of activities in the area.

Perfection!

We stayed at Borgo Tranquillo for two weeks this summer and can’t wait to return! From the stunning scenery, to the beautiful apartment – everything was absolutely perfect; Frank and Ariane are wonderful hosts and have created something truly special here.

The location is quite simply stunning! We spent many days lounging by the amazing infinity pool, enjoying the panoramic views of the mountains and valleys. It is only about an hour away from the coast and Ancona airport, but it strikes the perfect balance of seclusion and privacy, without feeling isolated. Nearby Arcevia, a lovely hilltop town, also has everything you need – great butchers/bakers/small supermarket.

The apartment itself was exactly what we were looking for: beautifully designed and styled, incredibly well equipped, and very spacious. It is not a typical self-catering property, more like something you’d actually want to live in!

Although the properties are self-catering, we were very well looked after by Frank and Ariane. On arrival, we were met with a very warm welcome and a glass of wine in the clubhouse – a great start to the holiday! They really are the perfect hosts – welcoming, friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the region. Their personal touches (like the card in the apartment) and incredible attention to detail really make the whole Borgo Tranquillo experience very special indeed.

We had a fantastic holiday – our best, in fact! We’re already looking at dates for next year and, as I said at the start of the review, can’t wait to go back! If you’re looking for a touch of luxury, total relaxation and spectacular surroundings, then I don’t think there is anywhere better.

Get-away

Our two weeks at Borgo Tranquillo were wonderfully relaxing, deep in the Le Marche countryside! Hiking, running, biking, swimming, sightseeing, sunning, reading, shopping, or just plain hanging out in the beautiful hills, wonderfully enhanced by the architecture, interior design and landscaping done by Ariane and Frank, who have wonderful taste. Bring your Italian dictionary, you’re not in Tuscany, where everyone speaks English. For those in need of a get away from crowds and traffic. A car is definitely needed, however. Our cat thouroughly enjoyed his vacation as well, sunning and chasing lizards!

Traumunterkunft

Wir können uns der Erstbewertung nur anschließen, zumal auch unser Aufenthalt leider viel zu kurz war.
Borgo Tranquillo ist die perfekte Unterkunft, traumhafte Lage, ein großzügiges, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Appartment, ein wunderschöner Pool, ein kleiner aber feiner Spa-Bereich, eine gemütliche Lounge. Ariane und Andrew kennen die Bedürfnisse erholungsbedürftiger Gäste bestens. Es hat einfach an nichts gefehlt. Vom Bademantel über erntefrisches Gemüse aus Arianes und Andrews Garten bis zur Lounge mit kleiner Bibliothek und Bar, an der man sich an erfrischenden Drinks oder einem Espresso erfreuen konnte – für alles war gesorgt. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben, hatten aber zu spät gebucht und durften am Ende froh sein, wenigstens eine Woche genießen zu können. Die Umgebung und das nächstgelegene, beschauliche Arcevia sind einfach zauberhaft. Dem rustikalen, bodenständigen Charme der Marken kann man sich nicht entziehen. Wir kommen wieder!

Borgo Tranquillo ist in echt fast noch besser wie auf den Bildern und in der Beschreibung. Die Appartements sind sehr modern aber gleichzeitig gemütlich. Die Austattung ist super. Spitze war auch der Pool mit Spabereich. An alles wurde gedacht (Flachbildschirm, Stereoanlage mit Ipod-Anschluß, Lichtdimmer in allen Zimmern, etc. etc. ). Selbst der Begrüßungs Prosecco war im Kühlschrank kalt gestellt. Einfach nur klasse! Alles war super sauber und sehr gepflegt. Ariane und Frank waren sehr zuvorkommend und äusserst großzügig. Freie Getränke im Poolhaus!!! Zusammenfassend kann man diese Unterkunft mehr als empfehlen. Wir werden sicher wieder hinfahren. Unsere Kinder vermissen Frank mit seinem Traktor.

Marche – Borgo Tranquillo – you’ll love it!

This was our second time in Marche and in Borgo Tranquillo. You feel like coming meet your friends Ariane and Frank; they are so kind and helpful. They provide excellent customer service. The villa was as we remembered last year; very chic, modern and clean. We took a wine tour with Marco, we found excellent wines and pasta. We found excellent restaurants with Ariane´s hints. We are already planning our new trip to Borgo Tranquillo.

Moderne, gepflegte Anlage

Wir konnten 2 Wochen in dieser gepflegten und modernen Anlage verbringen. Der Ausblick vom Pool aus ist phantastisch. Die Anlage ist besonders für Personen zu empfehlen, die einen Urlaub in ruhiger Umgebung genießen wollen und gern “wellnessen”.
Trotzdem auch für Familien geeignet, da die Kinder insbesondere im Pool ihren Spaß haben und gemeinsam mit den Eltern die Umgebung erkunden können. Das Meer ist auch nicht so weit entfernt und lädt an dem ein oder anderen Tag zu einem Besuch ein. Unbedingt zu empfehlen ist der Besuch der Tropfsteinhöhle Frasassi.

Perfect holidays!

Schöner Wohnen

Wir verbrachten zwei Wochen in diesem traumhaften Quartier, das durch seine Panoramalage und sein außergewöhnliches Design bestach. Es hob sich sehr angenehm von bisher bewohnten Ferienwohnungen ab und ließ die persönliche Handschrift des Besitzers, eines englischen Designers, bis ins Detail hin erkennen. Als besonders reizvoll erwies sich dabei der Kontrast zwischen der lieblichen Landschaft der Marken, die jede Menge bereit hält für Kultur- und Naturbegeisterte und dem modernen, puristischen Stil der Anlage. Die Besitzer werben nicht umsonst mit dem Slogan einer 5-Sterne Selbstverpflegungs-Anlage. Einer so umfangreichen Ausstattung mit Dampfbad, Sauna, exklusivem Infinitypool, Kamin, Mountainbikes,Gratisbar etc. sind wir auf unseren Reisen noch nicht begegnet. Perfekt machte unseren Aufenthalt die zurückhaltende, sympathische und hilfsbereite Art der Besitzer. Die Anlage lädt zum Relaxen ebenso ein wie für Streifzüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung, die eine Vielfalt von Möglichkeiten bietet. Selbst der Adriastrand insbes. die Coneroküste mit reizvollen kleineren Badebuchten ist recht gut erreichbar. In den Apartments liegt umfangreiches Infomaterial hierzu bereit. Unerlässlich ist für die Mobilität ein eigenes Fahrzeug und die Bereitschaft sich auf kurvigen, jedoch kaum befahrenen Straßen fortzubewegen. Wir können die Ferienanlage ohne Einschränkungen weiterempfehlen und planen bereits einen Aufenthalt für das nächste Jahr.

Simply Beautiful!

We stayed at Borgo Tranquillo for a fortnight in May – everything about the place exceeded expectations – the location is absolutely stunning – the property is set in a beautiful valley with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the Appenine mountains in the distance – the accommodation is stylish and modern but very comfortable – the owners extend a warm welcome and their attention to detail is evident throughout.
The pool area is beautiful with gorgeous views over the valley. There are lovely hilltowns within a few miles of the property and several nice restaurants – would particularly recommend Pinocchio’s in Arcevia. It was quiet when we visited as May is quite early in the season but if you want a lively atmosphere try visiting the nearby town of Jesi or the coastal resort of Senigallia. Urbino is within striking distance and is well worth a visit. We loved this place – we have holidayed in Tuscany before but much preferred Marche!

Stylish rural haven!

Borgo Tranquillo really is impeccable as a rental. The owners, Frank and Ariane, have pulled off the difficult trick of creating a place that is both extremely stylish and immaculately thought out in every detail and relaxed and easy-going as a place to stay. The surrounding area is very beautiful and unspoilt and will appeal to anyone who likes Tuscany and Umbria, but wants somewhere less touristy, especially in summer. The nearest town, Arcevia, is delightful, and there are plenty of other interesting small towns and villages around to explore (Jesi, Fabriano, Matelica, Corinaldo), as well as some more high-profile sights, such as the ducal palaces of Gubbio and Urbino, not far away. There’s great walking in the Gola della Rossa-Frassino national park nearby for the energetic, but Borgo Tranquillo would be a good place just to chill as well. It entirely lives up to its name.

Tranquillo!

We wished to have a family holiday with relaxation and lazy time paramount for adults but enough interest for a 4 year old. It was a great balance of beautiful setting, excellent organisation/ service/treatment and a fantastic location – which we will visit again.
The villa was clean and well equipped . We really did feel at home with advice/assistance as required but with privacy to do what we wanted . The club house was great to play games and read in the evening with a great outside pool to relax beside during the day. We have recommended the location to our friends and are looking to return sometime soon.

Einfach Perfekt!

In den sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Wohnungen fehlt es an nichts. Man fühlt sich sofort zu Hause. Der Standard ist in allen Punkten sehr hoch: Einrichtung, Küche, Badezimmer, Heizung, Dekoration usw. Und punkto Sauberkeit kann man nichts aussetzen. Auch das Angebot rund um das Apartment ist super: Bikes, super Pool, schöne Gartenmöbel, tolle Sauna usw. Das Beachhouse mit seinem Angebot ist genial. Und das einem nicht alles aufgerechnet wir – Konsumation im Beachhouse, Sauna, Bikes, Literatur usw. ist einfach angenehm. Man fühlt sich einfach wie zu Hause.
Die Gegend ist sehr schön und man kann sehr viel unternehmen. Ein Auto ist dabei jedoch unerlässlich – auch um Abends Essen zu gehen. Für Kinder finde ich das Borgo Tranquillo weniger geeignet, da es sich eher langweilig ist und zu wenig bietet. Aber für Erholungssuchende und für romantische Ferien zu zweit ist das Borgo einfach genau richtig. Da fehlt einem dann auch das Kindergeschrei nicht.
Der Service ist sehr gut und äusserst angenehm und sympathisch. Die Gastgeber machen wirklich einen tollen Job – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und sehr wohl, Das Borgo Tranquiollo kann man jeder Zeit und ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen – das werde ich auch tun und habe es schon gemacht. Ich werde sicher wieder kehren!

A holiday with WOW factor

I have just come back from one of my most enjoyable and relaxing holidays ever – and that was despite some unseasonally bad weather. My husband, young son and I just adored Borgo Tranquillo and had a superb week relaxing and exploring the beautiful countryside and rolling hills surrounding the property. We stayed in the villa which is just stunning – we love our minimal design and so it was great to be able to holiday in a beautiful, contemporary property – we normally have to put up with a bit of chintz when we go away . The owners, Frank and Ariane, have worked very hard to create a special and unique environment for their guests and were perfect hosts during our stay. We would thoroughly recommend the Borgo Tranquillo for a holiday and haven’t stopped recommending it to friends since we returned.

Superschöne Urlaubswoche in den Marken

Es war ein wundervoller und unvergesslicher Urlaub in einem traumhaft schönen, mit viel Liebe gestalteten Anwesen. Das idyllisch gelegene Areal lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben die himmlische Ruhe und das Panorama rundum auf die Hügel der Marken absolut genossen. Unsere Wohnung war einfach super und individuell mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet, alles war vom Feinsten und sehr gepflegt. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders toll war der Poolbereich mit dem großen, sehr sauberen Pool mit Blick in die Natur, einfach herrlich. Da in der Anlage und vor allem am und im Pool eine sehr eindrucksvolle Nachtbeleuchtung war, haben wir diesen auch in der Dunkelheit genutzt – sehr romantisch. In den Orten im nahen Umkreis konnte man gut einkaufen und die Gastronomie nutzen, um die Küche der Marken zu genießen. Da das Meer auch nicht allzuweit entfernt war, um einen Tagesausflug dorthin zu unternehmen, können wir sagen, es war das perfekte Urlaubsdomizil für uns. Leider war eine Woche viel zu kurz, um richtig auszuspannen und alles in der Umgebung zu entdecken. Wir haben deshalb vor, einen der nächsten Urlaube wieder in dieser herrlichen Anlage mit den super eingerichteten Wohnungen zu verbringen, da alles einfach top war. Die Vermieter Ariane und Andrew waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und sehr um das Wohl ihrer Gäste bemüht. Unsere Buchung war sehr kurzfristig und hat trotzdem super gut geklappt. Luxury Stay in Le Marche

We stayed at Borgo Tranquillo in a ground floor apartment for two weeks in August 2008. Frank and Ariane were great hosts and made us very welcome. The property was exceptional and immaculate and very luxurious, it more than lived up to our expectations. The facilities at the pool/clubhouse were fabulous and the views spectacular. The Accommodation – fantastic, clean and modern with just the right touch of traditional Italian lifestyle, beautifully presented, spacious and welcoming. Well stocked with the right equipment.

The Pool – the best pool we have ever used! The owners have thoughfully prepared and equipped the pool area to ensure complete enjoyment and relaxation! The club house leading to the pool is a particular highlight of this property. Sauna, Hammam, stunning views and refreshments all day – delightful.

The People – welcoming, helpful, convivial and discreet hosts. They provided the most complete and accurate information before and during the stay. Highly professional and approachable with any concerns or questions.

The area – peaceful and unspoilt. Adriatic only 40 minutes by car. The coastal town of Senigallia has hidden treasures – just the right mix of history and modernity, stylish shopping and cafe’s.

As a family on holiday in Italy we are more familiar with Tuscany. Our holiday at Borgo Tranquillo has shown us that Le Marche, although an altogether different region, has many attractions, striking scenery and unspoilt appeal. We would thoroughly recommend the area and Borgo Tranquillo to our friends.

Borgo Tranquillo – an amazing place!

Had an amazing time here, from being greeted with a glass of prosecco from the lovely owners, to the infinity pool with the mind blowing view, to all the little details which made everything just right. Everything had been thought of – big italian cook book, DVD library, well equipped kitchen, free bar, books, bikes and BBQs to borrow, comfy pool cushions, board games, sauna, bath in bedroom, cool wet room bathroom, funky chairs suspended from the ceiling. It was all amazing. the place is very well designed – it looks like a funky boutique hotel, but self-catering (which we prefer). The location is quiet and the view is outstanding. We didn’t venture out very much but are nice little towns nearby to pick up provisions. Would highly recommend this place!

Totale Erholung

Wir waren bereits 1 Wochen in Italien unterwegs. Eigentlich hatten wir gedacht dass es wohl kaum noch schöner werden könne. Aber ganz ehrlich hatten wir uns dann doch getäuscht, denn wir wurden absolut vom Gegenteil überzeugt, es war noch schöner besser ruhiger!
Als wir Franks und Arianes wunderschöne Anlage am Ende der Straße befuhren. . Von der grandiosen Aussicht auf die entfernten Hügel waren wir sofort begeistert. Die herzliche Begrüßung unserer Gastgeber hat dann letztlich schon das I-Tüpfelchen auf die perfekte Einstimmung unserer 3. Urlaubswoche gesetzt. Aber auch das gekonnte Zusammenspiel zwischen Moderne und ursprüngliche in der gesamten Anlage hat uns begeistert. Unser Highlight war aber der Pool mit seiner Grandiosen Aussicht. Beim nächsten Mal bleiben wir länger!

Traditional AND Contemporary – Fabulous!

Rent a holiday cottage or apartment deep into rural Italy and you kind of know what to expect. If you’re after slightly shabby Italian countryside vernacular, a chintz curtain covering the dented saucepans under the sink, wobbly dark wooden furniture and hand-me-down crockery then the Borgo is NOT for you. The Borgo is cool. The Borgo is stylish. The Borgo is many other things too …..quiet, charming, spacious, clean, well appointed and the very best of traditional & modern combined.

The location is spectacular nestling on top of a rolling hill overlooking a beautiful fields and valleys. The Borgo is close to the reasonably sized traditional hill town of Arcevia and just 40 minutes drive from Senigallia on the Adriatic coast – which we just loved – seriously good restaurants & bars, lots of sand and a fabulous old fish market which has been beautifully refurbished. Good shopping & cafes too along with a mix of traditional and modern shops and there’s even a castle and an excellent street market (ask Frank or Ariane which day its on – they couldn’t be more helpful) – that’s if you can drag yourself away from the gorgeous infinty pool with it’s view over the valley (…and if you get a wet day or two there’s always the sauna and the hammam!)

If you like out-and-about however and have done the many local walks then head for the caves at Frasassi – its not that far and a lovely drive. ‘Caves’ – hmmmm… I bet you’re thinking some drippy-ceilinged grot hole with coloured fairy lights – think again! OK – so you do have to drive past the actual cave entrance down to the car park & souvenir shops and then get a shuttle bus back up – and you do have a short walk through a tunnel in the side of the mountain to access the caves – but I guarantee that’s not what you’ll remember when you leave! Breathtaking – we explored for over one and a half hours – not to be missed, never forgotten. Great family destination – even our two teenagers loved it.

Back to the Borgo – light fresh contemporary interiors with lovely furniture all mod cons – and each apartment has outside areas to just sit and enjoy. We really loved this place and will definitely be going back this summer – I doubt Le Marche has a better rural retreat – I can almost taste the Rosso Conero just thinking about it……

Tranquillo holiday getaway

What a wonderful stay we had over the new year period. Coming home each evening after exloring the beautiful region of marche was a delight.
